Scope of Services
Transpo Group USA, Inc. (Transpo) will provide supplemental engineering services to the City of Renton
(City) for the final bid-ready design of projects defined and developed under the original agreement and
Supplements.
Refer to the original agreement and Supplement for project locations and project element descriptions.
The Consultant work program is supplemented with the following amended tasks:
Task 9. WSDOT Coordination (Project 03)
The Consultant has developed this scope with the assumption of the project elements identified in the
Project Definition Section of the original Scope and Supplement as the basis of design. Modifications to
these project elements at the request of the City, including the addition or removal of project elements such
as new curbing, increased signage, relocation of improvements or additional pavement markings may
require a negotiated fee and schedule modification between the Consultant and the City. The Consultant
will notify the City as soon as possible of the anticipated impact of changes to project elements on fee and
schedule.
Task 9 involves the Consultant leading coordination and approval of the Project 03 crossing modifications
on Sunset Blvd (SR 900) by WSDOT. The Consultant will lead the communication with WSDOT and assist
the City with securing permits for installation of the three improvements in Project 03.

Modifications to the crossings occurred under the Supplement 3 scope and fee, but were outside of the
original scope of Supplement 3. Coordination with WSDOT on the revised crossing locations and design
will need to be completed prior to providing the City with final signed and sealed plans for the crossings.
Submittal of channelization plans, with two (2) rounds of comment response to WSDOT is included in this
scope. Additional submittals to WSDOT beyond the two (2) submittals will require an amendment before
proceeding.
The Consultant will prepare and submit documentation to WSDOT including:
Summary of Design (SOD)
Traffic Signal Permit WSDOT form
Channelization Plans for Approval Package (PFA)
Crosswalk Safety Memorandum

Assumptions
Minor revisions to the crossings for Project 03 will be performed in response to
comments on the permit application package. Revisions other than slight modifications to signing
and striping may require an amendment.
No curb ramps will require MEFs
Safety analysis will be based on WSDOT crash records and will not include an HSM analysis
Consultant Deliverables
Submittal of plans updated to WSDOT submittal specifications for channelization changes
Two (2) rounds of responses to WSDOT comments on the above-named deliverables
Final design drawings provided as PDF 11x17 sheets (modified per WSDOT comments)
Construction cost estimate (modified per WSDOT comments)
Special Specifications, as required, to complete the design (modified per WSDOT comments)
