CITYOFRENTON,WASHINGTONRESOLUTIONNO.4453ARESOLUTIONOFTHECITYOFRENTON,WASHINGTON,AMENDINGTHE2021/2022CITYOFRENTONFEESCHEDULE.WHEREAS,onNovember23,2009,theCounciladoptedOrdinanceNo.5509,whichremovedmanyfeesfromtheRentonMunicipalCodeandconsolidatedthemintothe2010CityofRentonFeeSchedulebrochure,whichhasbeensubsequentlyamended;andWHEREAS,onNovember9,2020,theCityCouncilpassedResolutionNo.4422,adoptinganamendedfeeschedulefor2021and2022;andWHEREAS,onMay3,2021,theCityCouncilpassedResolutionNo.4433,adoptinganamendedfeescheduleinordertomakeperiodicupdatesandcorrectionstoandreorganizethefeeschedule,incorporatefeeamendmentsincludedintheCity’s2021CarryForwardand5tQuarterbudgetamendment,clarifythetimingofpaymentofpublicationfeesinSectionIofthefeeschedule,remove“BoatLaunchRates:Additionalsticker(launchingpermit)”fromSectionIV.2ofthefeeschedule,setforthlandusereviewfeesforrevisionsandmodificationstoconditionalusepermitsandplatsinSectionXII.2ofthefeeschedule,andupdateSectionXll.3ofthefeescheduleto(1)clarifythatpursuanttoRMC9-10-9,publicagenciesaresubjecttofranchisepermitfeesand(2)addfeeexceptionsforcertainworkbyindividualhomeowners,certainmovingactivities,andcertainworkintheCD(CenterDowntown)zone;andWHEREAS,onJuly19,2021,theCityCouncilpassedResolutionNo.4441,adoptinganamendedfeescheduletomakeperiodicupdatesaspartoftheCity’s20212ndQuarterbudgetamendment,updateSectionXll.1ofthefeescheduletochangedemolitionpermitfeesfroma1 RESOLUTIONNO.4453flatratefeetoafeecalculatedbasedonbuildingvaluation,setforthpublicworksfeesforpublicreimbursementofelectricalserviceandsetforthpublicworksfeeforconduitleaseratesinSectionXIl.3ofthefeeschedule,addthemultifamilytaxexemptionapplicationfeepursuanttoRMC4-1-220,andaddtheassessedcurrentmarketvalueforreplacementtreefreeinlieuinSectionXll.6ofthefeeschedule;andWHEREAS,itisnecessarytoapproveanamendedfeescheduletomakeperiodicupdatesaspartoftheCity’s2021-2022Mid-Biennialbudgetamendment;andWHEREAS,itisfurthernecessarytoapproveanamendedfeescheduleupdatingSectionII.MaplewoodGolfCoursefeesofthefeeschedule;andWHEREAS,itisfurthernecessarytoapproveanamendedfeeschedulesettingforthpublicworksfeesforsitelicenseaddendumrentinSectionXll.3ofthefeeschedule;andWHEREAS,itisfurthernecessarytoapproveanamendedfeescheduletoclarifythatsingleandtwofamilyusesthatutilizetheright-of-wayalongthewaterfrontshallbeconsidereduseswithoutpublicbenefitandwillbechargedassuchinSectionXll.3ofthefeeschedule;andWHEREAS,itisfurthernecessarytoapproveanamendedfeescheduleupdatingschoolimpactfeesforthelssaquah,Kent,andRentonSchoolDistrictsinSectionXll.5ofthefeeschedule;andWHEREAS,itisfurthernecessarytoapproveanamendedfeescheduletoupdateSectionXIII.FireDepartmentFireMarshallFees(RFA),asrequestedbytheRentonRegionalFireAuthority;NOW,THEREFORE,THECITYCOUNCILOFTHECITYOFRENTON,WASHINGTON,DORESOLVEASFOLLOWS:2
