HomeMy WebLinkAboutAdden 5AMENDMENT NO. 5 TO AGREEMENT FOR CAG-20-338 THIS AMENDMENT, dated for reference purposes only as November 17, 2021, is by and between the City of Renton (the “City”), a Washington municipal corporation, and Transpo Group (“Consultant”), a Washington corporation. The City and the Consultant are referred to collectively in this Amendment as the “Parties.” Once fully executed by the Parties, this Amendment is effective as of the last date signed by both parties. Whereas, the City engaged the services of the Consultant under Agreement CAG-20-338, dated September 30, 2020, to provide necessary services for the Safe Routes to Transit – Design Services – CAG-20-338 (referred to herein as the “Agreement”); Whereas, the Parties wish to amend the Agreement to change the scope of work, in order to provide support for grant funding applications for two project sites, as described in the Scope of Work, and change the compensation in order to complete the tasks requested to support grant funding applications. NOW THEREFORE, It is mutually agreed upon that CAG-20-338 is amended as follows: 1.Scope of Work: Section 1, Scope of Work, is amended to add work as specified in Exhibit A-5, which is attached and incorporated herein. 2.Compensation: Section 4, Compensation, is amended so that the maximum amount of compensation payable to Consultant is increased by $5,500 from $158,840 to $164,340. The additional compensation shall be paid based upon Work actually performed according to the rate(s) or amounts specified in Exhibit B-5 of the Agreement. 3.All terms of the Agreement not explicitly modified herein shall remain in full force and effect and such terms shall apply to Work performed according to this Amendment as if fully set forth herein. (Transpo) will provide supplemental services to the City of Renton (City) to support grant funding applications for the construction of projects defined and developed under the original agreement and Supplements. Transpo is referred to as the “Consultant” in the fo llowing scope. Refer to the original agreement and Supplement for project locations and project element descriptions. The Consultant work program is supplemented with the following amended tasks: Task 10. Grant Support Assumptions The Consultant has developed this scope with the assumption of the project elements identified in the Project Definition Section of the original Scope and Supplement as the basis of design. Modifications to these project elements at the request of the City, including the addition or removal of project elements such as new curbing, increased signage, relocation of improvements or additional pavement markings may require a negotiated fee and schedule modification between the Consultant and the City. The Consultant will notify the City as soon as possible of the anticipated impact of changes to project elements on fee and schedule. Task 10. Grant Support Task 10 involves the Consultant supporting the City’s grant application to PSRC in the spring of 2022 for construction funding for Projects 02 and 04, as defined in the original Scope. The Consultant will meet with the City’s grant preparation staff to divide work tasks to prepare the grant applications in accordance with this scope. The Consultant anticipates the following tasks to support the PSRC application: Preparation of exhibits, including use of an exhibit-level border and removing of detailed construction notes to simplify display of project elements for evaluation by grant reviewers. Updating of the construction cost estimate to reflect the most recent available cost information, and the federalization of the construction of the project when using PSRC funding, including the additional costs to the City for management of federally funded construction. Preparation of responses to grant prompts requesting design information for the projects which were designed under the original Scope and supplements 1 through 4 for Project sites 02 and 04.
