HomeMy WebLinkAboutAdden 1AMENDMENT NO. 1 TO AGREEMENT FOR ARCHITECTURAL SERVICES CAG 21 140 THISAMENDMENT,datedforreferencepurposesonlyas November17,2021,isbyandbetween the City of Renton (the “City”),a Washington municipal corporation, and Greene Gasaway Architects (“Consultant”).The City and the Consultant are referred to collectively in this Amendment as the “Parties.”Once fully executed by the Parties, this Amendment is effective as of the last date signed by both parties. Whereas, the City engaged the services of the Consultant under Agreement CAG 21 140, dated May 24, 2021, to provide necessary servicesfor the Behavioral Health Unit (referred to herein as the “Agreement”); Whereas, the Parties wish to amend the Agreement to provide a topographic survey and necessary support for a portion of the 300 Rainier Ave property in order to assess development potential. NOW THEREFORE, It is mutually agreed upon that CAG 21 140 is amended as follows: 1.Scope of Work: Section 1, Scope of Work, is amended to add work as specified in Exhibit A 1, which is attached and incorporated herein. 2.Time of Performance:Section 3, Time of Performance, is amended. All Work shall be performed by no later than December 31, 2022. 3.Compensation: Section 4, Compensation, is amended so that the maximum amount of compensation payable to Consultant is increased by $12,510 from $20,000 to $32,510, plus any applicable state and local sales taxes. The additional compensation shall be paid based upon Work actually performed according to the rate(s) or amounts specified in Exhibit A 1 which is attached and incorporated herein. 4.All terms of the Agreement not explicitly modified herein shall remain in full force and effect and such terms shall apply to Work performed according to this Amendment as if fully set forth herein. The amount includes a 5% mark-up and 3 hours of Tony’s time to visit the site and secure a proposal from Terrane. A copy of Terrane’s proposal is attached for your reference. Scope of Work Tasks: 1. General: A. See attached Aerial for approximate area to be surveyed. B. Provide all applicable items on attached ALTA check-list. C. Certify survey as ALTA compliant. D. Comply with Local Authority Having Jurisdiction datum control and other requirements. E. Record with County. F. Note adjacent property owners. G. Obtain and work from a current title report. 1) Include cost of title report in fee. H. Obtain, research and work, from Owner, City, County and Utility provider As-Built drawings and on-site investigations. I. Tie horizontal and vertical control to at least two known monuments. J. Obtain permission to access and work on adjacent property. 2. Format: A. Sheet size: as required by Authority Having Jurisdiction. B. Electronic file compatible with Architect’s version of Auto-CADD software, including surface files and break lines. C. Symbol and line work legends. D. Label unique features. E. Orientate north up unless otherwise requested. F. Include Legal Description, Basis of Bearing and Vertical Datum. G. Graphic scale. 3. Extent: A. Entire survey area plus: 1) 25 feet beyond property boundaries 2) 25 feet beyond property along streets 4. Boundary A. All property lines, easements and encroachments. B. Property line lengths, bearing, angles, curve lengths and points of tangent. 5. Topography A. Contours at 1-foot vertical relief. B. Floor elevations of building. C. Elevations of each building entry. D. Top and toe of slopes and other significant features. E. Spot elevations on a minimum 20 x 20 foot grid. F. Spot elevations along top and bottom of curbs, rockeries, retaining walls and similar surfaces. G. Top and bottom elevations at walks, landings, ramps, stairs and similar features. 6. Utilities A. All above and below ground public, private and district utility lines, structures, poles, transformers, etc. List sizes and material as appropriate. B. Horizontal and vertical locations of all items. C. Rim and invert elevations plus direction of flow of storm and sanitary systems. D. Off-site upstream and downstream storm and sanitary system structures. E. Traffic and pedestrian control structures. H. Fuel tanks, meters, fire hydrants, valves and similar items. I. Monitoring wells. J. Underground utility tunnels or basements. K. Building downspouts. 7. Surface Features A. All surface features including, but not limited to: 1) Structures including buildings, covered areas, stairs, sheds, dumpster enclosures and utilities. 2) Pavements, curbs, changes in surfaces, and similar items. 3) Lights, bollards, gates, mail boxes, benches, trash receptacles, and similar items; 4) Signage, wheel stops, striping, pavement markings, ADA features, directional arrows, fire lanes and similar items, concrete barriers, 5) Indications of unstable soils. 8. Easements and Encroachments A. Identify and locate all easements and encroachments. 9. Trees A. All significant trees as defined by the Local Authority Having Jurisdiction. B. Indicate species, trunk size and drip lines 10. Right-of-Way / Roadway A. Half width of: a. Rainier Ave North b. West Perimeter Road B. 25 feet beyond edge of proposed property boundaries down streets. C. All above and below ground utilities and surface features. 11. Miscellaneous A. Set two hubs for future use by Contractor. Connect to City of Renton Datum. B. Identify and locate critical areas. 12. Coordination A. Respond to questions and clarifications during the design process. 13. Reimbursables – Identify an allowance and include in the fee as a specific line item A. Mileage and out of office reproductions services will be the only allowed reimbursables. B. Reimbursables will be invoiced at cost plus 5% maximum. 14. Schedule A. Draft survey shall be complete no later than 3 weeks after notice to Proceed: B. Final survey shall be complete no later than 3 weeks after draft survey scheduled completion. 15. Other A. Break down each proposals’ fee by major task. B. Provide schedule of hourly rates and charges. C. Provide Certificates of Insurance. Name Greene Gasaway and City of Renton as additional insured. D. Work shall be invoiced in a format approved by Greene Gasaway.
