ORDINANCE NO. 1529
AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF RENTON, WASHINGTON,
VACATING PORTION OF VICTORIA AVENUE, LOCATED IN
RENTON, KING COUNTY, WASHINGTON.
WHEREAS, a proper petition for vacating portion of Victoria
Avenue in the City of Renton, King County, Washington, as hereinafter
more particularly described, was duly filed with the City Clerk of the
City of Renton on July 14, 1955, signed by all of the owners of the
property abutting upon said portion of Victoria Avenue, sought to be
vacated, which petition was read at the regular meeting of the City
Council on July 19, 1955, and WHEREAS the City Council, after due
investigation did fix the 6th day of September, 1955, as the date of
public hearing on said petition and directed the Clerk to give r.otico
of said hearing in the manner provided by .laT,T; and T REAS the City
Clerk has duly caused notice of such hearing to be published and to be
posted gor the time and in the meaner provided by law;, mnd ?.._ER1 Ax a
public hearing was duly held upon said petition on the day so fixed at
a regular meeting of the City Council an4fio protest or objection to the
granting of said petition or the vacating of said portion of Victoria
Avenue having been made, filed or received, and the City Council did at
that time vote to grant said petition for vacating, subject to certain
reservations; and WHEREAS the City Council finds that the vacating of
the hereinafter described portion of this street is proper and advantageous
to all concerned and will serve the public interest and will not cause
injury or damage to any properties or persons, but the granting of said
petition is in the public interest; NOW, THEREFORE, .
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE MAYOR AND THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF RENTON AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION I : The following described portion of Victoria
Avenue, to-wit:
All that portion of Victoria Avenue„ in the City of Renton,
King County, Washington, lying southerly of Lots 13 to 16,
inclusive, Block 1, Victoria A. Kelly Additions Renton,
Washington (being a strip of lr.ne. 30 f c:,t in 'w_"_dth and 148
foot, more or less, in length) , RIFI ,Rv7 C unto the City of
70mten, the following descr.•.� ��. ,monont therefrom for all
public purposes and uses, fie- ,,eit: s

The north five feet of the south one-half and the
south five feet of the north one -half of that portion
of. Victoria Avenue lying southerly of Lots 13 to 16,
inclusive, as hereinabove described.
BE AND TIE SAME IS HF. ?EBY VACATED, subject to the reservation hereinabove
specified.
SECTION II: This ordinance shall be effective from and after
its passage, approval and legal publication as provided by law.

NOTICE OF HEARING ON PETITION TO VACATE THE BELOW DESCRIBED
PORTION OF A STREET IN THE VICTORIA A. KELLY ADDITION.
Notice is hereby given that a petition to vacate the below described
portion of a street, "the east 148 feet, more or less, on Victoria Avenue
which lies between Lots 13 to 16, inclusive, and other school property,
formerly known as the Moses property; RESERVING unto the City of Renton
the following described easement for all public purposes and uses, to wit:
Five feet on each side of the centerline of the existing 30 foot street
through that portion of Victoria Avenue, above described," has been
filed with the City Clerk and the City Council of the City of Renton by
the owners of all of the property abutting on the street, to-wit 100 percent
(100%), and that the 6th Day of September, 1955, AT THE HOUR OF 8:00 o'clock
P.M., at the City Council Chambers in the City Hall, City of Renton, Washington,
has been fixed as the time and place at which a public hearing will be held by
the City Council upon said petition; and that any and all persons interested
therein or objecting thereto may then and there defend and be heard, or may
file their written objections thereto with the City Clerk prior to said
meeting time.

have the City Council take the necessary action to vacate the east
148 feet more or less on Victoria Avenue, which lies between Lots 13
