KING COUNTY CERTIFICATE OF SELF-INSURANCE April 1, 2021 – April 1, 2022
This letter is to certify that King County is fully self-funded for all of its liability exposures. Should an
incident occur involving the negligence of County employees acting in the scope of their employment, our self-funded program would respond. King County, charter county government under the constitution of the State of Washington, maintains
a fully funded Self-Insurance program for the protection and handling of the County’s liabilities,
including injuries to persons and damage to property. This letter is also to certify that King County carries a blanket All-Risk property insurance policy to cover damage and physical loss to its property.
