HomeMy WebLinkAboutPH - Federal Shared Revenue (1982) ..- • PUBLIC HEARING CITY OF RENTON, WASHINGTON REGULAR CiTY COUNCIL MEETING Monday, December 7, 1981, 8:00 p.m. Council Chambers, Renton Municipal Building 200 Mill A venue South, Renton, Washington PURPOSE: TO CONSIDER THE MAYOR'S PROPOSED USE OF FEDERAL REVENUE SHARING FUNDS FOR THE YEAR 1982 AND PROPOSED RE-APPROPRIATION OF THE FOLLOWING: 1) Re-appropriation of $162,000 Federal Revenue Sharing funds committed in 1981 for Municipal Facilities General Obligation Bond debt redemption. Bonds were not sold in 1981; anticipate bond sale in September 1982 therefore, first interest payment would not be due until 1983 and we would not meet the requirement that Revenue Sharing funds be expended within 2 years from initial commitment. 2) Re-appropriation of $80, 120 of the $134, 420 Federal Revenue Sharing funds committed in 1981 for replacement of our central computer system. Propose to use $54, 300 in 1982 for Municipal Lease payment to replace computer equipment.
