THIS AMENDMENT, dated for reference purposes only as January 6, 2021, is by and between
Transpo Group
a Washington corporation. The City and the Consultant are referred to collectively
in this Amendment executed by the Parties, this Amendment is
effective as of the last date signed by both parties.
Whereas, the City engaged the services of the Consultant under Agreement CAG-20-338, dated
September 30, 2020, to provide necessary services for the Safe Routes to Transit Design
Services CAG-20-338
Whereas, the Parties wish to amend the Agreement to change the scope of work, in order to
provide support for grant funding applications for two project sites, as described in the Scope of
Work, and change the compensation in order to complete the tasks requested to support grant
funding applications.
NOW THEREFORE, It is mutually agreed upon that CAG-20-338 is amended as follows:
1. Scope of Work: Section 1, Scope of Work, is amended to add work as specified in Exhibit
A-6, which is attached and incorporated herein.
2. Compensation: Section 4, Compensation, is amended so that the maximum amount of
compensation payable to Consultant is increased by $19,600from $164,340 to $183,940.
The additional compensation shall be paid based upon Work actually performed
according to the rate(s) or amounts specified in Exhibit B-6 of the Agreement.
3.All terms of the Agreement not explicitly modified herein shall remain in full force and
effect and such terms shall apply to Work performed according to this Amendment as if
fully set forth herein.

Scope of Services
Transpo Group USA, Inc. (Transpo) will provide supplemental services to the City of Renton (City) to
support grant funding applications for the construction of projects defined and developed under the original
agreement and Supplements. llowing scope.
Refer to the original agreement and Supplement for project locations and project element descriptions.
For Supplement 6, the projects in the original agreement identified as Project 02 and Project 04 are
combined under the title
The Consultant work program is supplemented with the following amended tasks:
Task 11 NEPA Documentation
Task 12 Federal Design Update (Optional)
The Consultant has developed this scope with the assumption of modifications to the project elements
identified in the Project Definition Section of the original Scope and Supplement based on the results of the
changes prepared in Task 10, Grant Support to develop the Veterans Memorial Improvements as a
standalone, federally grant-funded project.
The Consultant assumes, for the purposes of Task 12, that the City intends on pursuing the federally
funded construction of the Veterans Memorial Improvements
For Task 11, the Consultant will prepare NEPA Categorial Exclusion documentation, including conducting a
kickoff and follow up meetings with WSDOT on behalf of the City, with City personnel in attendance, to
complete the required environmental documentation for the Veterans Memorial Improvements.
The Consultant anticipates the following tasks to support the NEPA documentation:
Conduct a kickoff meeting with WSDOT Local Programs and Environmental staff to notify WSDOT
of the project and any preliminary environmental findings
Preparation of an Area of Potential Effect map and documentation memo
Preparation of a draft NEPA Categorical Exclusion, including mapping, database exhibits, and
census data as attachments.
Submittal of the Draft NEPA Categorical Exclusion to WSDOT
Response to WSDOT comments on the Draft NEPA documentation and preparation of the Final
NEPA documentation.

**Task 12 is included herein, but may be suspended via written notice by the City of Renton if
federal grant funding for the Veterans Memorial Improvements is not successful.**
For Task 12, the Consultant will update the previously prepared construction-ready plans for the Veterans
Memorial Improvements (Supplement 2, Task 8) to meet the requirements of a federally funded project,
and to add elements, as requested by the City for Task 10 Grant Support (Supplement 5) and included in
Revised project elements include:
Additional markings and shur-curb at the southwest corner of Main Avenue S and S 3rd Street
Upgrades to four existing illumination poles on the north side of Houser Way S and west side of Mill
Ave S
Conversion of asphalt walkway improvements on the southeast corner of Mill Ave S and Houser
Way S to either an at-grade concrete walkway, or concrete curb, gutter, and sidewalk
The Consultant anticipates the following tasks:
Updating of previously completed (Task 8) construction-ready plan set to remove Sunset and
Edmonds intersection, including revisions to cover sheet, index, included sheets and standard
details, and create a standalone Veterans Memorial Improvements project sheet set
Revision of the channelization plans for revised elements noted
Revision of the demolition and paving plans at Houser and Mill for revised elements noted
Development of illumination plans to upgrade the four existing luminaires to meet the current City
standards
Updating of the construction cost estimate
Updating of the special provisions to reflect modified project elements and requirements for
federally funded projects, in accordance with the WSDOT Local Programs checklist
Coordination with WSDOT on behalf of the City of Renton, to obtain approval for the project
specifications
Submittal of all plans, estimate and specifications to the City of Renton as draft and one round of
comment and revision prior to final submittal and signing of plans
Assumptions
No foundation design will be performed for the new illumination poles. Similar language requiring
the contractor to obtain geotechnical
No additional survey will be collected
The City of Renton will provide Division 1 specifications and bid documents
