Is the project in the Runway Protection Zone/Clear Zone (RPZ/CZ)1? ☐No → If the RE/HUD agrees with this recommendation, the review is in compliance with this section. Provide a map showing that the site is not within either zone. ☐Yes → Written notice must be provided to prospective buyers to inform them of the potential hazards from airplane accidents as well as the potential for the property to be purchased as part of an airport expansion project. A sample notice is available through the HUD Exchange. Provide a map showing that the site within RPZ/CZ. Work with the RE/HUD to provide written notice to the prospective buyers. Worksheet Summary Provide a full description of your determination and a synopsis of the information that it was based on, such as: • Map panel numbers and dates • Names of all consulted parties and relevant consultation dates • Names of plans or reports and relevant page numbers • Any additional requirements specific to your program or region Include all documentation supporting your findings in your submission to HUD. The project is redevelopment of an existing Renton Housing Authority property. 1 Runway Protection Zone/Clear Zones are defined as areas immediately beyond the ends of runways. The standards are established by FAA regulations. The term in 24 CFR Part 51, Runway Clear Zones, was redefined in FAA’s Airport Design Advisory Circular (AC) 150/5300-13 to refer to Runway Protection Zones for civil airports.
