Subject:RE: Mead Landscape Plans
Hi Terry,
I concur with the arborist report. I inspected the 10” dbh Western red cedar. The tree has codominant leaders, which
is not good structure for future growth and location of tree. Work done to remove the Cottonwood stump will
compromise the critical root area of the Western red cedar. Mitigating with planting 4 Western red cedars on the lot is
a good proposal.
Regards,
Anne Thayer

Terry,
Please find the attached arborist letter with the proposed revisions to the Mead Short Plat landscape plan (APN
1023059230). When you get a chance can you perform a field visit and let me know if you come to the same conclusion
as Greenforest Incorporated about the retained cedar tree (10” cedar tree #031) at the corner of NE 6th St and Ilwaco Pl
NE (just north of future Lot 5)? The applicant is proposing to remove the 10” cedar tree and replace it with four 2”
western red cedar trees.

Let me know if you would like to meet onsite to discuss the situation further.
Thanks,
