A public hearing will be held by the Renton Hearing Examiner in the Council Chambers
on the seventh floor of the Renton City Hall, 1055 South Grady Way, Renton,
Washington, on June 28, 2016 at 10:30 am to consider the following petitions:
Olympic Pipeline Relocation Project
LUA16-000397
Location: SR 167 and Talbot. Description: The Olympic Pipeline Company is
requesting a noise variance to allow for 100 nights of construction work, 7 days a
week, 24 hours per day. WSDOT plans to reconstruct the northbound I-405/SR 167
interchange in Renton as part of the WSDOT I-405/SR 167 Interchange Direct
Connector Project and has requested that Olympic relocate the section of pipeline
that is parallel to SR 167 to the east of its current location. WSDOT also has
requested that Olympic relocate the section of pipeline that is parallel to I-405 to a
new alignment south of its current location, and requires that the existing pipeline
be removed to accommodate mass grading activities in early 2017. The SR 167 and
I-405 Pipeline Relocation projects will be conducted separately, but concurrently.
Legal descriptions of the files noted above are on file in the City Clerk's Office, Seventh
Floor, City Hall, Renton. All interested persons are invited to be present at the Public
Hearing to express their opinions. Questions should be directed to the Hearing
