Hello Edjan,
See attached submittal requirements for RVMP, Master applications form (one of the requirements), city
approved tree list, and Waiver Form. Compare the waiver form to the submittal list and check off the things that
are waived. Some things are modified, see comments. Please also submit a description of your work and why
you want to remove the trees.
Some of these submittal requirements (like master app, project description, and construction mitigation) I will
not be able to complete for you; you will need to fill it out to the best of your ability. The master app needs to by
signed and notarized by the property owners.
See Terry’s recommendations below. Additional planting may be required on the south property line. His
comments did not address the additional proposed removal.
Terry’s Recommendation:
We recommend that deciduous shade trees be planted at this site as a more appropriate tree selection than
conifers or evergreen trees. Shade trees will help to reduce cooling of the house during the summer and allow
winter sunlight into the house, reducing heating costs. We further recommend planting only two such trees
regardless of caliper and that they be species that attain a largemature size, for example bigleaf maple. One tree
should be planted on or near the west side of the house and one planted on the south side of the house keeping in
mind the canopy spread will be at least 40 feet in diameter, depending upon the selection of species.
If you would like to schedule an appointment to discuss the application let me know.
Have a great weekend!
