Johnson; Anne Thayer Subject:Vuecrest II Short Plat - Tree Retention Attachments:Vuecrest II - Tree Retention Plan.pdf; 117.pdf Rohini, The applicant is requesting to remove two saved Big Leaf Maple trees (Tree Nos. 115 & 116) from Vuecrest II Short Plat (LUA15-000026) based on the proximity to the new sidewalk. The applicant was required to retain 30% of the significant trees or 11 total trees per the land use decision. The Big Leaf Maple trees are at 60% canopy, fair-poor condition, and the tree roots are being impacted by grade change. The request to remove Tree #115 and Tree #116 is approved subject to the following conditions: 1. Provide an updated Final Landscape Plan with 24 replacement inches for review and approval of the Current Planning Project Manager. Tree replacement for the lost trees must be planted in Lot 8 prior to short plat recording. 2. Prune two (2) dead tree trunks from Tree #117 and provide tree proper tree protection fencing around the disturbed area. See attachments for more information and let me know if you have any questions. Thanks, Clark H.
