I have discussed the NE 12th Street frontage improvements design concept today with Jim. Jim is
now planning on bike lanes on NE 12th rather than bikes sharing the roadway with other vehicular
traffic. With that in mind, the roadway width between centerline of ROW to face of new curb on
the north side of the street should be a minimum of 16 feet to provide a 11-foot traffic lane, a 5-
foot bike lane and no parking. No parking will allow the existing power poles to remain in their
existing location and be within the new planting strip. Therefore, we support the attached frontage
improvements design concept. The 18-foot dimension for location of the new curb may be
appropriate to assure that the power poles are in the planter strip with sufficient clearance from the
roadway. Final determination of 16 versus 18 feet can be made once surveyed plans are available.

Hi Bob,
I found this email to you regarding the Reservoir project. It does look like it fell through the cracks

Hi Bob,
This is a COR project, and the address is 3410 NE 12th Street. They will phase the project and the
end result will be all new reservoirs, booster pump station and new storm detention.
My question to is do we need to do street frontage improvements on N. 12th Street? According to
COR maps, N. 12th Street is a minor arterial.
Thanks and let me know if you have questions. Pre-app is this Thursday……
