RECONSIDERATION DECISION
A request for reconsideration from the applicant dated June 9, 2014 on the wording of
two permit conditions was forwarded to the examiner on June 23, 2014. The request to
modify Condition No. 11 is unnecessary, since the condition does not suggest or imply
that Army Corps approval is required, but allows plat improvements to be deferred if
necessary to acquire Army Corps approval. The request to modify Condition 14 is
granted, since the fencing is only necessary to protect the adjoining Smith property
from the developed portion of the subdivision and Mr. Smith himself only requested
fencing along Lot 5.
DECISION
Condition 14 of the above-captioned application is revised to provide as follows:
14. A six foot tall cedar fence shall be installed along the southern property line of Lot 5.

Appeal Right and Valuation Notices
RMC 4-8-110(E)(9) provides that the final decision of the hearing examiner is subject to appeal to
the Renton City Council. RMC 4-8-110(E)(9) requires appeals of the hearing examiner’s decision
to be filed within fourteen (14) calendar days from the date of the hearing examiner’s decision.
Additional information regarding the appeal process may be obtained from the City Clerk’s Office,
Renton City Hall – 7th floor, (425) 430-6510.
Affected property owners may request a change in valuation for property tax purposes
notwithstanding any program of revaluation.
