Strong Tiger Mountain Homes / Mark Becker Blacktop / Joe Cloudy, 50’s THE FOLLOWING WAS NOTED: AESI was onsite mid-day to observe the ADU building foundation lot backfill for Lots 3-5. Upon arrival, we met with Mark Seek of Tiger Mountain Homes. Lots 3-5 ADU Backfill (Permit #s’s: B21005526, B22000077, B21005534): Prior to our arrival the contractor had backfilled for building foundation subgrade for ADU buildings for Lots 3-5. We were informed that backfill consisted of placing approximately 2’ thick of recycled concrete spalls and compacting utilizing the back of an excavator bucket. The contractor then placed and compacted approximately 3-4’ of 1 ¼” minus recycled concrete. We were informed that backfill was placed in 8-12” thick lifts and compacted utilizing a jumping jack. AESI observed building foundation subgrades for each lot utilizing a ½” diameter steel soil probe under full observer weight and in our opinion the backfill material was compacted to a firm and unyielding condition. In our opinion these areas are suitable for soil bearing pressure of 1,500 psf as per the approved plans. AESI departed the site in the PM and will return upon request.
