HomeMy WebLinkAboutExh. 11 Construction Mitigation DescriptionVIA 405 APARTMENTS SECTION 10 CONSTRUCTION MITIGATION DESCRIPTION PROPOSED CONSTRUCTION DATES No specific construction dates have been established. Foundation construction could begin in late summer 2017. Building construction would follow, through the fall months of 2017. The estimated completion of construction would likely be spring of 2019. HOURS AND DAYS OF OPERATION Construction would occur Monday through Friday, between the hours of 7 AM and 6:00 PM PROPOSED HAULING/TRANSPORTATION ROUTES The proposed site is within immediate proximity to the SR 167 / I 405 Interchange, the Talbot Road off-ramp from southbound I-405 and the Talbot Road on-ramp to I-405. Hauling of construction materials to the site will occur from each of these freeway access points. Hauling routes to and from the site will utilize the above freeway interchanges, and connecting surface streets. The connecting surface streets to the freeway interchanges are South Grady Way, South Renton Village Place, and Rainier Avenue South. Very little, if any, hauling traffic is expected on the portion of Rainier Avenue South that extends north of its intersection with South Grady Way. No hauling traffic is expected on South Grady Way, east of the project site. MEASURES TO MITIGATE NOXIOUS IMPACTS Dust will be appropriately monitored by the general contractor. Any impacts from dust will be minimized using certified and industry recognized methods. Mud from hauling trucks will be minimized by wheel washing on site and street sweeping by the conducted by the general contractor. Traffic impacts will be minimized by general contractor traffic control during ordinary hours of construction. Noise from the project is not expected to increase, materially, above the daily noise generated by traffic form Interstate 405 and SR 167. SPECIAL HOURS OF CONSTRUCTION Construction is not expected to occur before or after the normal construction hours of 7 AM to 6 PM daily, Monday through Friday. PRELIMINARY TRAFFIC CONTROL PLAN When project hauling occurs the general contractor will provide traffic control at all intersections on the proposed site and at this site’s access points to South Grady Way and South Renton Village Place. CRANES USED DURING CONSTRUCTION Construction at this site will utilize cranes. This site is, however, outside the Renton Municipal Airport controlled area.
