Hello,
I am applying for a special fence permit application and would like to submit all information necessary to
comply with Renton code. I have looked through the requirements and the fence that I would like to
install meets all the requirements for a special fence Permit, as noted on #3 for application materials.
- I will have grass or mulch as permanent landscaping in front of fence
- I am using quality fence material, Wood – Red Cedar

- It is of similar design to other fences in neighborhood
- Finished face toward the street.
I did want to note that I received HOA approval for the fence and began construction, however I then
researched and realized that I needed to get a permit for this, so I halted all construction until I
submitted the necessary application paperwork.
This letter serves as the Special Fence Permit Justification, and I have included a Neighborhood Detail
Map, Application, Site Plan and a picture of the Elevations section. I will submit the Fee to the
appropriate office for the City of Renton.
