PROJECT NAME: 2017 Comprehensive Plan Amendments

LOCATIONS AND DESCRIPTIONS:
#2017-M-01 FAIRWOOD TRACT A: NW corner of intersection of SE Petrovitsky Rd and 134th Ave SE. Proposed map
amendment from Residential Medium Density with R-8 zoning to Residential Low Density with R-1 zoning. The
applicant has conducted a wetlands delineation that indicates the R-8 zoned area is constrained by wetlands. They
have requested a rezone to a zone that reflects the environmental constraints. No development is proposed at this
time.
#2017-M-02 KENNYDALE MARKET: 1406 N 30th St. Proposed map amendment from Residential Medium Density
with R-6 zoning to Residential High Density with Commercial Neighborhood zoning. The applicant would like to
redevelop two abutting parcels with one project with consistent zoning. There is no development proposed at this
time.
TEXT AMENDMENTS: Citywide. Proposed amendments to the Comprehensive Plan to provide consistency, correct
scrivener’s errors, and make other non-substantive amendments.
THE CITY OF RENTON ENVIRONMENTAL REVIEW COMMITTEE (ERC) HAS DETERMINED THAT THE PROPOSED
ACTION DOES NOT HAVE A SIGNIFICANT ADVERSE IMPACT ON THE ENVIRONMENT.
Comments on the application must be submitted in writing to Angie Mathias, project manager, CED –
Planning Division, 1055 South Grady Way, Renton, WA 98057, by 5:00 PM on August 25, 2017. If you have
questions about this proposal please contact the project manager, 425.430.6576. Appeals of the
environmental determination must be filed in writing on or before 5:00 p.m. on August 25, 2017, together
with the required fee with: Hearing Examiner, City of Renton, 1055 South Grady Way, Renton, WA 98057.
Appeals to the Examiner are governed by City of RMC 4-8-110 and information regarding the appeal process
may be obtained from the Renton City Clerk’s Office, (425) 430-6510.
IF THE ENVIRONMENTAL DETERMINATION IS APPEALED, A PUBLIC HEARING WILL BE SET AND ALL PARTIES
NOTIFIED.
