Ok, I guess we need to check retention density for a parcel of that size – if they fall below it with the removals they will
need to replant. Additional photos would be useful, particularly close ups to see if the branch tips are in fact dead with
no bud swell indicative of live branches (everything is still dormant currently and this would give some indication).

The only photo we received was page 7 of the arborist report. They don’t plan to replant, and I haven’t yet looked into
whether they would need to replant.

Not that I doubt the arborist report – Lombardy poplars can die quickly and become hazards – but are there any
accompanying photos? Do they need to or plan to replant any trees?

Thanks for that. Yes, the trees look pretty dead. I have no problems with the removal request. I’ll leave it up to you to
figure out if what they may or may not need to do for replanting if they drop below a retention density requirement. I
