CLEARING LIMITS: A. PRIOR TO ANY SITE CLEARING OR GRADING, AREAS TO REMAIN UNDISTURBED DURING PROJECT CONSTRUCTION SHALL BE DELINEATED. AT A MINIMUM, CLEARING LIMIT DELINEATION FLAGGING SHALL BE PROVIDED AT THE EDGES OF ALL VE AREA BUFFERS. 2. KEEP THE GROUND COVERED: A. MINIMIZE THE AMOUNT OF EXISTING VEGETATION THAT YOU MUST DISTURB FOR CONSTRUCTION. KEEP OFF SENSITIVE AREAS AND THEIR BUFFERS. B. ALL DISTURBED AREAS SHALL BE COVERED AND/OR MULCHED WITHIN 12 HOURS, IF THEY ARE TO REMAIN UNWORKED FOR MORE THAN 7 DAYS FROM MAY 1ST TO SEPTEMBER 30TH. DURING THE MONTHS OF OCTOBER 1ST THROUGH APRIL 30TH, DISTURBED AREAS MUST BE COVERED OR MULCHED IF LEFT UNWORKED WITHIN 2 DAYS C. ACCEPTED MULCH MATERIAL INCLUDES STRAW, WOOD FIBER AND CELLULOSE. D. AREAS NOT BEING WORKED FOR 30 DAYS OR MORE SHALL BE VEGETATED, UNLESS THE CITY DETERMINES THAT WINTER WEATHER MAKES VEGETATION ESTABLISHMENT INFEASIBLE. AREAS THAT ARE BEING HYDRO SEEDED SHALL HAVE A TACKIFIER MIXED INTO THE HYDRO SEED TO HELP STABILIZE MIXTURE ONTO THE SOIL. H. ENOUGH COVER MATERIAL TO SUFFICIENTLY PROTECT ALL DISTURBED AREAS SHALL BE STOCKPILED ON THE SITE AT THE BEGINNING OF THE WET SEASON. 3. DUST CONTROL: A. DUST IS TO BE CONTROLLED ON THE CONSTRUCTION SITE. B. WATER TRUCK WILL BE USED TO CONTROL DUST ON DIRT/GRADED AREAS ONLY. C. NO SITE RUN OFF IS TO BE GENERATED BY OVER USE OF WATERING. D. CONTROLLING DUST ON PAVED ROADWAYS WILL BE DONE BY THE USE OF A SWEEPER WITH WATER -JET SPRAYERS. NO RUN OFF FROM SPRAYERS SHALL REACH THE CATCH BASINS. 4. PERIMETER PROTECTION: A. PERIMETER PROTECTION TO FILTER SEDIMENT FOR SHEETWASH SHALL BE LOCATED DOWNSLOPE OF ALL DISTURBED AREAS AND PROPERLY INSTALLED PRIOR TO UPSLOPE GRADING. B. 50 LINEAR FEET OF SILT FENCE PER ACRE AND THE NECESSARY STAKES TO HOLD THE FENCE IN PLACE SHALL BE STORED ON SITE. 5. TRAFFIC AREA STABILIZATION: A. UNSURFACED DRIVEWAY ENTRANCES, ACCESS ROADS AND PARKING AREAS USED BY CONSTRUCTION TRAFFIC WILL BE STABILIZED TO MINIMIZE EROSION AND PREVENT TRACKING MUD. B. STABILIZED CONSTRUCTION ENTRANCES WILL BE INSTALLED AS THE FIRST STEP OF CLEARING AND GRADING. C. CONSTRUCTION ENTRANCES WILL BE SET UP SO THAT ALL TRAFFIC LEAVING A JOB SITE IS REQUIRED TO TRAVEL THE ENTIRE LENGTH OF ENTRANCE. D. ROADS AND PARKING AREAS WILL BE STABILIZED IMMEDIATELY AFTER THE INITIAL GRADING. E. CONSTRUCTION ENTRANCES WILL BE STABILIZED WHEREVER TRAFFIC WILL BE LEAVING A CONSTRUCTION SITE AND TRAVELING ON PAVED ROADS OR OTHER PAVED AREAS WITHIN 1,000 FEET OF THE SITE. F. ANY SEDIMENT THAT IS TRACKED ONTO PAVEMENT WILL BE REMOVED IMMEDIATELY BY SWEEPING. THE SEDIMENT COLLECTED BY SWEEPING SHALL BE REMOVED OR STABILIZED ON -SITE. G. IF NON-VACTOR TYPE SWEEPERS ARE USED, THE DEPOSITION OF THESE SWEEPERS MUST BE REMOVED FROM SIDEWALKS AND GUTTERS. THE SEDIMENT COLLECTED BY SWEEPING SHALL BE REMOVED OR STABILIZED ON -SITE. H.
