The project site is located within the Residential -8 (R-8) zone. The proposal is to install 20 new 8" steel piles and construct a 613 sq ft dock covered by grated decking material. The proposal includes a 25 -foot planted buffer along the Lake Washington Shoreline. The project site abuts Lake Washington, a Shoreline of the State, and is within reach E and the Shoreline Residential and Aquatic designations. The project site is mapped with a Moderate Landslide Hazard Area. Lead Agency: City of Renton Environmental Review Committee Department of Community & Economic Development Date of Decision: May 16, 2022 Mitigation Measures: 1. Project construction shall comply with the recommendations outlined in the submitted Lake Study/No Net Loss Determination including but not limited to planting trees a nd other vegetation along the shoreline and implementing the Best Management Practices during construction. 2. The applicant shall also submit the planting plan as -builts and annual monitoring reports required by the Army Corp of Engineers for five (5) to th e City to ensure there is no net loss of ecological functions. 3. A surety device shall be required to ensure the mitigation performance standards are met. The surety device shall be sufficient to guarantee that structures, improvements, and mitigation required by permit condition perform satisfactorily for a minimum of five (5) years after they have been completed. The City of Renton Environmental Review Committee has determined that probable significant environmental impacts from the proposed project can be mitigated. An Environmental Impact Statement (EIS) is not required under RCW 43.21C.030(2)(c). Conditions were imposed as mitigation measures by the Environmental Review Committee under their authority of Section 4 -9-070D Renton Municipal Code. These conditions are necessary to mitigate environmental impacts identified during the environmental review process. Because other agencies of jurisdiction may be involved, the lead agency will not act on this proposal for fourteen (14) days.
