(AESI) was on site part-time at the request of Jerry Jr. with Continental Dirt Contractors (CDC). Watermain Trench Backfill: AESI onsite today for TESC observations. While onsite, CDC requested AESI take density tests on previously installed watermain backfill in Duvall Avenue. The north lane of Duvall Ave as been ground to top rock elevation for resurfacing. While onsite, AESI observed as the contractor excavated a pothole in the backfill to approximately 1.5-feet below bottom of asphalt elevation. The contractor stated that the watermain pipe was approximately 5-feet deep While onsite, AESI took 20 tests in the backfill using a nuclear densometer gauge and all tests passed the site minimum specifications of 95%. See Table 1 below for compaction results and Figure 1 for locations. Table 1: Compaction Test Results – Watermain Backfill Test No. Location Approx.
