(AESI) was onsite around 1pm to observe lot 3 building foundation subgrade. Lot 3 Foundation Subgrade Prior to our arrival, we met with Mark Seek with Tiger Mountain Homes to assess the subgrade for lot 3 building foundation. The subgrade consisted of brown silty sand with some standing water in ceratin parts from rainwater this past weekend. The contractor excavated approximately 4-7 feet from final grade to reach foundation subgrade using a large excavator. We assessed the subgrade using a ½” diamater steel t-probe and confirmed the subgrade to be firm and unyileidng probing no more than 2-3 inches suitable to support recycled consrete structural fill (Photo 1). Mark started placing approximately 4-7 feet of the recycled concrete from the stockpile that arrived onsite today to bring the building foundaton up to grade. We observed mark tamping the recycled concrete using the back of the excavator bucket. Location of recycled concrete backfill outlined in Figure 1 below. Mark informed us that they will be excavating lots 5 and 6 building foundations sometime next week. AESI left the site in the afternoon and will return upon request.
