HomeMy WebLinkAboutN 24th Street_baptie short plat - waiver request - April 2012April 6, 2012 Mr. Ken Baptie Post Office Box 1221 Woodinville, Washington 98072 RE: Baptie Short Plat, PRE 12-013 1415 North 24th Street Dear Mr. Baptie: On April 6, 2012, the Development Services Director denied your application for waiver of the street frontage improvements for a proposed four lot short plat located at 1415 NE 24th Street. The size of the short plat is sufficient to a fee-in-lieu of the installation of offsite improvements consisting of curb, gutter and sidewalk fronting the site in North 24th Street, but denied your request for relief of the 7-foot right-of-way dedication. The fee for improvements has been calculated as follows: ITEM FEE PER SQUARE YARD (SY) OR LINEAL FOOT (LF)  # SQUARE YARDS OR LINEAL FEET  EXTENDED COST  Sidewalk fronting North 24th Street  68.00/LF  140 LF  $9,520.00  Curb and Gutter fronting North 24th Street  86.00/LF  140 LF  $12,040.00  TOTAL FEE-IN-LIEU OF DUE CITY OF RENTON $21,560.00   This fee must be received by the City prior to recording of the short plat. According to City code, you have 14 days from today’s date to appeal the administrative determination. Appeals are to be filed in writing, with the City Clerk and require a filing fee in the amount of $250.00.
