THE FOLLOWING WAS NOTED:
Foundation Subgrade Observations- Building Area C Gridline A23/AM-AQ:
Associated Earth Sciences Inc. (AESI) was on site late this afternoon and met with representatives from Cornerstone and Continental
Dirt Contractors (CDC). While on-site, we observed the A23/AM-AQ spread footing excavations, highlighted on the foundation plan on
page 2 and in the image below. Part of the footing forms had been installed. The foundation subgrade was covered with a few inches
of the imported, compacted 2-1/2 inch minus, crushed rock. We observed soil conditions below the rock at random locations and
around the outside of the footing forms where the native soil could be observed. Based on visual observations and with a ½ inch
diameter, steel soil probe the native soil underlying the crushed rock or at the southern end where crushed rock was absent consisted
of medium dense to dense, lodgement till suitable for foundation soil bearing of 3,500 psf, per plan, in our opinion. We informed CDC
and Cornerstone of the results.

Plumbing Trenches In D- Building:
Prior to our arrival today, a series of plumbing trenches and some conduits were backfilled in the central part of the D Building near
gridlines D11-D12 from DB – DL. The trenches appeared to have been backfilled with the native soil and compacted to a firm and
unyielding condition. AESI will test the surface of the trench backfill at random locations later. The plumbing and electrical
contractors were not onsite.
Grading in Shop/Mechanical yard enclosure area:
While onsite today, we observed that the previously yielding soil had been removed and replaced with crushed rock. No traffic was seen to drive over the material to see if it yielded but, it was not yielding underfoot.
