As we have ten years of records of communications between city representatives, the city arborist and various property owners of the Plat and other forms of documentation in the form of photos and videos. We will be providing them to the insurance companies of the homes damaged, over the past ten years and our HOA attorney. The city in the recent clearing of the Wang Short Plat specified to the current property owner through the permitting process the trees that must remain intact on the site. Therefore the city assumed responsibility for these trees and shares in the risk and liability of damages. The city had been warned for years that these trees were a danger to our community members and their children, as many trees have fallen into our community park. Yet the city required the tallest most dangerous of these trees remain on site. It’s a miracle that the recent tree that fell didn’t kill someone. It crushed a fenced and went through a home while the homeowners were present. Our HOA and the harmed homeowners will pursue action in this regard.
