THE CONTRACT IS MODIFIED AS FOLLOWS:
Description of Change:
Change to Contract Plans:
As required in FWD No 31, the Contractor is directed to field cut the most southerly section of bridge
railing, prior to installation, and field paint the raw edge per WSDOT Standard Specification 6-07.
The railing section to be cut off shall be located at the northerly end of the southerly railing section in
order to maintain the angled end section as fabricated.
The approximate length of railing section to be removed is 19-inches but the exact length shall be
verified in the field by the City.
The removed railing section is to be hauled to waste and disposed of.
Reason for Change:
Contract Plans:
The reason for the cut is to shift the south-most bridge railing type S-BP30 section to the north on the
existing concrete barrier in order to protect the existing monument and allow it to be free and clear of
the new railing. The plans did not show the existing monument.

This Change Order does include an equitable adjustment per Section 1-09.4 of the 2020
WSDOT/APWA Standard Specifications.
Payment for shortening the bridge railing type S-BP30 will be calculated using force
account methods. There will be no deduct for the measurement and payment of BI 22
Bridge Railing Type S-BP30 due to this change, measurement for BI 22 will be based on
the fabricated length of railing.

Extension of Time:
The Contractor agrees that the time for Completion is extended 0 Working Days for the
additional work.
Sections 1-04.4 and 1-04.5 of the 2020 WSDOT/APWA Standard Specifications shall govern
this Change Order. The Work of the referenced Contract is modified to include the changes
detailed herein. The payment provided for herein shall constitute the complete and final
settlement for all costs of labor, equipment, materials, overhead, profit, permit fees, and all
other claims that may be made by the Contractor as a result of this change.
