There just isn’t space for that species choice and the density of utility conflicts makes it hard to recommend replanting there. However, there is ample room on the other side of the property (see snip) and there are any number of trees that would work. I would avoid large stature trees but they would be fine with any of the small stature trees or even some of the medium sized ones in our list. I’m thinking “Native Flame” Hornbeam, “Sugar Cone” or “Apollo” Maple, “Starlight” Dogwood, Eastern Redbud, “Vanessa” Persian Parrotia, Japanese Lilac Tree to name but a few. If they have an alternate we would be happy to consider it.
