Recycle Area, Access Gates and Guard Booth
(Reference: Site Plan Review Checklist: #6 Project Narrative, page 2)
The Recycle Area is noted on Figure 2B. This outdoor Recycle Area is 30 feet wide by 60 feet long,
enclosing an area of 1,800 square feet with a six‐foot tall opaque fence. A gate opening to the Recycle
Area is at least twelve feet wide for maintenance access. There is no limit on the vertical clearance at
and to this location.
To maintain controlled access to the site, there are three access gates on the site as identified on Figure
2b. Vehicles access the site from Raymond Avenue SW and will pass through Gate 1. Visitors can park in
the area directly north of the entry driveway. Employees with access will pass through Gate 2 and enter
the employees parking area. All vehicles exiting the site will pass through Gate 3.
Per the traffic study prepared by Heffron Transportaion (Transportation Technical Report for FAA Renton
Office Expansion, March 23, 2015), this access control configuration does not propose any changes to
the existing roadway network. The widened driveway along Raymond Avenue is expected to improve
the queuing conditions for entry and exit and is not expected to pose adverse impact to traffic
operations.
A guard booth will be located at the traffic island adjacent to Gate 1. This will be a guard booth that will
meet the security requirements set forth by the future building tenant.

requirements of the future tenant.

n. Explanation of any land to be dedicated to City
(Reference: Site Plan Review Checklist: #6 Project Narrative, page 12)
A verbal agreement has been made to dedicate 15’ of the north portion of the area on 16th Street
between Raymond Avenue and the PSE substation with the existing PSE easement remaining, and a 5’ x
32.5’ section along 16th Street just east of the PSE substation with the existing PSE easement remaining
to the City of Renton. The City of Renton has verbally agreed to a zero lot line building setback for the
property frontage west of the PSE substation. No other dedication are required.
