Thank you for the opportunity to review and comment. Based on the
information provided and our understanding of the issue, we
recommend an archaeological review. This is in an area the
Duwamish Tribe considers culturally significant and has a moderate
probability to have unknown archaeological deposits. We understand
that ground disturbance has already occurred with some impervious
surfaces emplaced. An IDP should not be used in lieu of an
archaeological investigation. Cultural and archaeological resources
are non-renewable and are best discovered prior to ground
disturbance. We strongly recommend that any replanting or planting
proposed be of native plants only and non native plants such as the
Himalayan Blackberry be removed.
