LAW ENFORCEMENT OFFICERS & FIREFIGHTERS DISABILITY BOARD
REGULAR MEETING
MINUTES
April 26, 2022 – 9:00 a.m.
Video Conference (Zoom meeting)
In Attendance: Jim Matthew, Russ Olson, Jim Phelan, Alex Tuttle, Carolyn Kraft,
Valerie O’Halloran, and Erika Eddins
Not in Attendance: Ed Prince
CALL TO ORDER
Jim Phelan moved to call the meeting to order at 09:00 a.m., and Jim Matthew
seconded.
APPROVAL OF MINUTES
Jim Mathew moved to approve the January 25, 2022, meeting minutes and Russ
Olson seconded. Motion carried. (The February 22, 2022 and March 22, 2022
meetings were cancelled – no minutes.)
OLD BUSINESS
None
NEW BUSINESS
Jim Phelan congratulated Erika Eddins on her promotion to the HR Benefits
Manager after Wendy Rittereiser retired. Erika will retain the Secretary role for
the LEOFF 1 Board and Carolyn Kraft will now be the backup. Carolyn will send
out agendas, minutes, and prepare claims for review. We will send a letter to
members regarding the HR staff changes and provide the general HR email
(hr@rentonwa.gov) where members can communicate with HR.
There is currently no projection for when we will have meetings in-person again
and for the foreseeable future we will continue having meetings via Zoom.

ADJOURNMENT
Valerie O’Halloran moved, and Jim Matthew seconded to adjourn. Motion
carried. Jim Phelan closed the meeting at 09:08 a.m.
