1.THIS DETAIL IS A SCHEMATIC REPRESENTATION ONLY. ACTUAL CONFIGURATION WILL VARY DEPENDING ON SPECIFIC SITE CONSTRAINTS AND APPLICABLE DESIGN
CRITERIA.
2.MINIMUM TANK DIAMETER IS 36 INCHES.
3.METAL PARTS PREFERRED TO BE STAINLESS STEEL, ALUMINIZED STEEL, OR ALUMINUM. ALL OTHER STEEL PARTS MUST BE GALVANIZED WITH TREATMENTS 1, 2, OR 5.
4.GEOTEXTILE FOR UNDERGROUND DRAINAGE, CLASS A, TO BE PLACED OVER CLEAN DRAIN ROCK, PER WSDOT STANDARD SPECIFICATIONS SECTION 9-33.2(1).
5.THE PROPOSED BOTTOM SHALL BE AT LEAST 3 FEET ABOVE THE SEASONAL HIGH WATER LEVEL AND HAVE AT LEAST 3 FEET OF PERMEABLE SOIL BENEATH THE
BOTTOM.
6.ACCESS RISERS REQUIRED WITHIN 50 FEET FROM ANY LOCATION IN THE INFILTRATION TANK AND WITHIN 5 FEET OF EACH TERMINAL END. ANY LOCATION WITHIN THE
INFILTRATION TANK SHALL HAVE A DIRECT LINE OF SIGHT FROM AN ACCESS POINT, UNOBSTRUCTED BY ANY RESTRICTIONS SUCH AS A WALL OR BAFFLE.
7.H-20 LIVE LOADS MUST BE ACCOMMODATED FOR TANKS LYING UNDER PARKING AREAS, ROADWAYS, AND ACCESS ROADS.
8.PIPE MATERIAL, JOINTS, AND PROTECTIVE TREATMENT FOR TANKS SHALL BE IN ACCORDANCE WITH SECTIONS 7-04 AND 9-05 OF THE WSDOT/APWA STANDARD
SPECIFICATIONS.
9.ALL TANK ACCESS OPENINGS MUST BE READILY ACCESSIBLE BY MAINTENANCE VEHICLES.
10.THE NUMBER AND SPACING OF THE HOLES SHOULD BE SUFFICIENT TO ALLOW COMPLETE UTILIZATION OF THE AVAILABLE INFILTRATION CAPACITY OF THE SOILS WITH
A SAFETY FACTOR OF 2.0 WITHOUT JEOPARDIZING THE STRUCTURAL INTEGRITY OF THE TANK.
11.WHEN CONNECTING TO A NEW PIPE, USE A FLEXIBLE CONNECTOR (KOR-N-SEAL BOOT WITH CORRUGATED PIPE ADAPTER OR APPROVED EQUAL). WHEN CONNECTING
TO AN EXISTING PIPE, USE A FABRICATED SAND COLLAR OF THE SAME MATERIAL AS THE CONNECTING PIPE.
