NOTES:
1.THIS DETAIL IS A SCHEMATIC REPRESENTATION ONLY. ACTUAL CONFIGURATION WILL VARY
DEPENDING ON SPECIFIC SITE CONSTRAINTS AND APPLICABLE DESIGN CRITERIA.
2.GRAVITY DRAIN SHALL BE AT LEAST 8 INCH MINIMUM DIAMETER AND SHALL BE CONTROLLED BY
A VALVE . USE OF A SHEAR GATE IS ALLOWED ONLY AT THE INLET OF A PIPE LOCATED WITHIN
AN APPROVED STRUCTURE.
3.ACCESS TO EACH COMPARTMENT IS REQUIRED, ON EACH END, AND EVERY 50 FEET MINIMUM.
4.VAULTS PROVIDING MANHOLE ACCESS AT 12 FOOT SPACING NEED NOT PROVIDE CORNER
VENTILATION PIPES. VENTILATION PIPES SHALL BE CAPPED OR OTHERWISE COVERED, BUT
DESIGNED SO THAT MAINTENANCE PERSONNEL CAN REMOVE FOR VENTILATION.
5.WHEN CONNECTING TO A NEW PIPE, USE A FLEXIBLE CONNECTOR (KOR-N-SEAL BOOT WITH
CORRUGATED PIPE ADAPTER OR APPROVED EQUAL). WHEN CONNECTING TO AN EXISTING PIPE,
USE A FABRICATED SAND COLLAR OF THE SAME MATERIAL AS THE CONNECTING PIPE.
6.SEE CONSTRUCTION PLANS FOR SPECIFIC PROJECT REQUIREMENTS.
