The responses may be considered along with all other information furnished to prospective bidders for the purpose of bidding on the project. The use of information provided in the responses to bidder inquiries is not to be construed in any way as a waiver of the provisions nor excuse the contractor from full compliance with the contract requirements. Bidders are cautioned that subsequent responses or contract addenda may affect or vary a response previously given and any such subsequent response or addenda should be taken into consideration when submitting a bid for the project. Bidder Inquiry No. 1 Sheet PV02, Note 7: Install median refuge island per detail A. Is this bid item number 16, Div. 6- 02? No Div. 2 is listed in the specifications, do we assume you want WSDOT 6-02 class 4000? City of Renton Response to Bidder Inquiry No. 1 Yes, the assumptions are correct about bid item #16, WSDOT 6-02 from the standard specifications should be used. Please be sure to see Addendum No. 1 for updated Schedule of Pricing as bid item #16 is bid item #18. Bidder Inquiry No. 2 Missing specification. section 8-14 for curb ramps, sidewalk, and detectable warning surface. Do Curb Ramps include pedestrian curb and detectable warning surface. Detectable warning surface quantities are not adding up. City of Renton Response to Bidder Inquiry No. 2 Section 8-14 has no changes from the WSDOT standard specification, so it is not included as the contractor should reference the standard specification. Per the standard specification and standard plans, curb ramps do include the curb and detectable warning surface. Detectable warning surface quantities are only for surface-applied panels outside of ramps. Bidder Inquiry No. 3 #18 Commercial Concrete missing specification. Section 6-02. What is this line item for? City of Renton Response to Bidder Inquiry No. 3 Please refer to WSDOT 6-02 from the standard specifications for missing specification.
