RESOLUTION N0. 4488
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF RENTON, WASHINGTON, DESIGNATING AN
APPLICANT AGENT FOR THE PURPOSES OF OBTAINING AND ADMINISTERING
CERTAIN STATE AND FEDERAL FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE UNDER SECTION 404 OF
THE ROBERT T. STAFFORD DISASTER RELIEF AND EMERGENCY ACT OF 1988, P.L.
93-288, AS AMENDED.
WHEREAS, the City of Renton has identified the need for state and federal financial
assistance for emergency management hazard mitigation and building resilient infrastructure
and communities and desires to obtain funding under the Federal Emergency Management
Agency (FEMA) grant program; and
WHEREAS, the Building Resilient Infrastructure and Communities (BRIC) grant application
requires jurisdictions applying for funding to designate an agent for the purposes of obtaining
and administering funding under this program and authorize the agent to provide any assurances
and agreements required for all matters concerning such grant funding; and
WHEREAS, the City considers it to be in the best public interest to complete the project
described in the application.
NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF RENTON, WASHINGTON, DO
RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION I. The City Council authorizes the following persons or persons holding specified
titles/positions (and subsequent holders of those titles/positions) to execute the following
documents binding the City on the project:

The above persons are considered an "authorized representative(s)/agent(s)" for purposes of the
documents indicated. The City shall comply with a request to provide documentation of persons
who may be authorized to execute documents related to the grant.
SECTION II. The City warrants and certifies that this resolution/authorization was properly
and lawfully adopted following the requirements of the City and applicable laws and policies and
that the City has full legal authority to commit it to the warranties, certifications, promises, and
obligations set forth herein.
