The reason we would like to build our dock to extend to 170 feet is
because of the depth of the water. Right now at low water at 170
feet from s hore, we have approximately 4 feet of water wi th muddy
bottom.
Due to the muddy lake bottom, if we were to moor our boat closer
than the 170 feet, the props on the boat would kick up mud from
the bottom of the lake and plug up the intakes for the cooling
system to the engine.
In conclusion, we need the 170 feet length to have sufficient water
deptn for boats to moor.
