Hi Jake,et.al,
Thank you for the letter requesting additional time due to the Teamsters strike.After review of the August 7, 2017 Three
week look ahead schedule, I note that the concrete sub was scheduled to start the week of August 21, 2017. Due to the
strike,their start time was repeatedly pushed out.
You request that the timeframe commence on August 15,2017. If the contractor was not scheduled for that week, I
believe that the duration of the reimbursement of calendar days be from August 21 to September 22,2017,for a total of
33 days.
If this is acceptable, I will provide a change order, with the new Substantial Completion date of lanuary 15, 2018.
If you have any questions,please don't hesitate to ask.

Dear Mr.Black:
As you lrnow,the strike by the Teamsters has caused our concrete subcontractor
significant impacts to their scheduled work.There has been resolution to the Teamsters strike,
but the resolution didn't come without impacts to the concrete"trades.The strike stared on
8/15/17 and ceased on�121/17 it put our concrete subcontractorbehind schedule on projects that .
were supposed to be completed prior to their arrival on this proj ect.Additionally,it appears that
the iarger concrete pours are taking precedence over the smaller'concrete pours.Unfortunately,
this project would be considered a smaller pour.
. As shown on our critical path schedule cement concrete is our critical path.Additionally,
th.ese delays could nof have been avoided by resequencing the work or by using reasonable
alternatives. Our concrete subcontractor is able to schedule concrete on 9/18/17. Due to these
circumstances out of the control of the contracfor and in accordance with WSDOT specification
section 1-08.8/4.et, al,we are requesting a reimbursement of calendar days caused by the . '
Teamsters Concrete Strike.We are requesting 39 calendar days for the timeframe from 8/15/17—
9/22/17 be added to the contract duration.
