LEASE ADDENDUM
ADDENDUM TO LAG-13-0002, LEASE AGREEMENT
Between
CITY OF RENTON and RENTON ECUMENICAL ASSOCIATION OF
CHURCHES (REACH)
This addendum to LAG-13-002 is entered into this � day of August 2016, by and
between the City of Renton, a noncharter code city under RCW 35A, and a municipal
corporation under the laws of the State of Washington ("Renton"), and Renton Ecumenical
Association of Churches (REACH), a non-profit organization under the laws of the State of
Washington, with Renton and REACH collectively referred to as the "Parties". By this written
amendment, the Parties mutually agree to amend the original and existing LAG-13-002
agreement, and the previous mutually agreed written amendments of that original and existing
Agreement (with each amendment and the original agreement collectively referred to as
"Agreement"), which leases the "A" wing of the former City of Renton jail to REACH.
NOW, THEREFORE, in consideration of the mutual terms and covenants in this
Agreement previously exchanged and to be exchanged in the future, the Parties agree to the
following:
SECTION 1. The Parties agree that the initial lease period be extended for two
additional one year terms, unless notice of termination is given by Renton or REACH, pursuant
to Section 8 (termination) of this Lease. The lease will be extended from January 30, 2016
through January 30, 2018.
SECTION 2. The Parties also agree that all terms and conditions of the Agreement not
amended by this Addendum shall remain in full force and effect and are ratified and re-
confirmed. To the extent any term(s) and/or condition(s) of this addendum conflicts with any
term(s) and/or condition(s) of this Amendment, the term(s) and/or condition(s) of this
addendum shall control.
SECTION 3. Section 7 (paragraph 2) of the Agreement (Duties of Reach) shall be
amended as follows:
Run the REACH Center of Hope Day Center according to the following general schedule:
• Monday through Friday from 7:30 a.m.-4:30 p.m. except for City Holidays and Summer
Hours. Summer Hours, generally June to the end of August are 7:30 a.m.to 2 p.m.
• On site supervision of volunteers will be provided by the Daily Lead. Daily Leads will
serve in two shifts, 7:30 a.m. — noon, and 12:00 noon to 4:30 p.m. During Summer
Hours, the Daily Lead will serve from 7:30 a.m. to 2 p.m.
• Clients will not be admitted before 7:30 am or after 4 p.m.
• The Center will not stay open past 5 p.m.
SECTION 4. Section 7 (paragraph 5) of the Agreement (Duties of Reach) shall be
amended as follows:
REACH certifies that either the REACH Board President, Lainey Sickinger, or the REACH
Executive Director, Maggie Breen, are legally authorized to sign this AGREEMENT.
IN WITNESS WHEREOF, the Parties below execute this Agreement and agree that it shall
become effective as of January 30, 2016.
