CONTRACTOR: Road Construction Northwest, Inc.
SUMMARY OF PROPOSED CHANGE:
Severe cracking occurred in the asphalt in the existing street lane north of the construction area. This change
order includes the costs to remove the existing asphalt pavement and prepare the lane for placing new
asphalt pavement per the January 6,2015 email from Road Construction Northwest.
CO-2A Remove Asphalt Concrete Pavement,approx.9-in thickness per SY
Estimated cost for removing asphalt concrete pavement approx.9-in thickness:
308 SY x$39.50/SY=$12,166.00
CO-28 Remove 2-in Asphalt Pavement by planning per SY
Estimated cost for removing asphalt pavement by planning,grinding,approx.2-in thickness:
390 SY x$16.25/SY=$6,337.50
CO-2C Temporary Traffic Control per LS
Traffic Control for additional pavement work 1 LS x$1,250.00
CO-2D Revised Price HMA Class 34 64-22,over 1,125 tons $97.00 per Ton
The per ton cost for HMA Class 34 is reduced due to recent reductions in the per barrel cost of oil.
The reduced cost of$97.00 per ton will apply to all HMA tonnage used above 1,125 tons,per WSDOT 1-04.6
(increased quantities over 25%).
