Standard Consultant Agreement
for
Solid Waste Contract Cost Analysis and Rate Model Update, CAG-14-102
This Addendum is made and entered into this1,1, day of I 'j�by and between the
City of Renton, hereinafter called the "City", and Sound Resource Man gement Group, Inc., whose
address is 2217 60th Lane NW, Olympia, WA 98502, hereinafter called the "Consultant".
WITNESSETH THAT:
WHEREAS, the City engaged the services of the consultant under Standard Consultant Agreement
CAG-14-102, dated July 15, 2014,to provide consultant services necessary for the Solid Waste
Contract Cost Analysis and Rate Model Update; and
WHEREAS, the City desires to complete the work associated with the Solid Waste Contract Cost
Analysis and Rate Model Update, and the City does not have sufficient qualified employees to
perform the work within a reasonable time; and
WHEREAS, the City and consultant have determined that additional services are required to complete
the work items listed in Exhibit A Scope of Services under the original contract CAG-14-102, dated July
15, 2014;
NOW,THEREFORE, in accordance with Section VII Extra Work of the Standard Consultant Agreement
CAG-14-102, dated July 15, 2014, it is mutually agreed upon that Standard Consultant Agreement
CAG-14-102, is amended to include the work and associated budget as follows:
1. The Scope of Work(Section I of the Standard Consultant Agreement CAG-14-102) is modified to
include the additional services on the attached Exhibit A .
2. The Payment (Section VI of the Standard Consultant Agreement CAG-14-102) is modified to
include payment for the additional work items defined in Exhibit A . The revised contract total
payable for work on this contract addendum is increased from $18,100, to$32,100, making a
difference of$14,000. The maximum amount payable for the additional work items defined in
Exhibit A of this contract addendum is$14,000, without prior authorization from the City:
3. The Time of Completion (Section V of the Standard Consultant Agreement CAG-14-102)for the
above referenced contract is extended until December 31. 2015
All other provisions of the Standard Consultant Agreement CAG-14-102 dated July 15, 2014, shall
apply to this addendum.

Exhibit A: Scope of Work, Time Schedule of Completion & Cost Estimate
Task 1—Analysis of Billing Service Levels and Customer Counts
Based on available data, analyze billing service levels, customer counts and disposal tonnages
and use to update customer service level counts and disposal quantity projections in rate
model.
Budget:J Morris 20 hours @ $135 $ 2,700
Schedule:June- November 2015
Task 2—Rate Model Modifications
Provide needed modifications, extensions and updates to rate model to accommodate analysis
of solid waste collection proposals.
Budget: J Morris hours 8 hours @ $135 $ 1,080
Schedule: June - November 2015
Task 3—Technical Assistance for 2016 Contract Procurement Process
Provide assistance during 2016 contract procurement process, including but not limited to
economic analysis of proposals and related rate modeling, rate structure issues and other
analyses as requested.
Budget: J Morris hours 60 hours @ $135 $ 8,100
Schedule:January-September 2015
Task 4—Meetings and Consultations with City Staff,Administration and Council
Assist with preparation for meetings with City staff, administration and/or council to provide
input on 2016 contract procurement process, and 2016-2017 rates and rate approval process.
Budget: J Morris 12.5 hours @ $135 $1,687.50
Schedule: January- November 2015
