The Local Agency of City of Renton desires to supplement the agreement entered in to with KPG,Inc. and executed on 11/5/14 and identified as Agreement No. CAG 14-146 All provisions in the basic agreement remain in effect except as expressly modified by this supplement. The changes to the agreement are described as follows: I Section 1, SCOPE OF WORK, is hereby changed to read: See attached Exhibit A for Supplement 7 Scope of Work. II Section IV, TIME FOR BEGINNING AND COMPLETION, is amended to change the number of calendar days for campletion of the work to read: No Chang�. III Section V, PAYMENT, shall be amended as follows: See attached Exhibit E-1 for Supplement 7 Fee Estimate. Maximurn Amount Payable Increases $37,447.40. as set forth in the attached Exhibit A, and by this reference made a part of this supplement. PROJECT DESCRIPTION�BACKGROUND The City of Renton ("City") has requested that KPG ("Consultant") perform supplemental Construction Engineering services throughout the duration of the Downtown Circulation Project currently estimated at 95 Working Days. The services included in this scope will support the City's construction management and inspection team formed forthis project. Additionally,the City has requested that the Irrigation Plans,Specifications,Quantities,and Estimates that were previously removed from the 90%design submittal, be updated for construction. B. KPG DELIVERABLES Deliverables prepared by the Consultant are identified at the end of each task in the scope of work. C. SCOPE OF WORK WORK EIEMENT 1—MANAGEMEN7�COORDINATION�ADMINISTRATION The Estimated project duration is 5 additional months (95 working days per the construction contract). 1.1 The Consultant will provide continuous project management for the duration of the construction (estimate 5 months). 1.2 The Consultant will prepare monthly progress reports identifying work completed in the previous month, work in progress, upcoming work elements,and reporting of any delays, problems, or additional information needs. These reports will be submitted with the Consultant invoices. City of Renton Downtown Circulation Project—Phase I CE Services—Supplement 7 KPG Project Number: 14080 1 December,2016 Exhibit A 1.3 The Consultant will provide internal quality assurance/quality control (4A/QC)reviews of all deliverables prior to submittal to the City and Construction Management team. Work Element 1 Deliverables: ❑ Monthly progress reports (5 months) Work Element 1 Assumptions: ❑ Estimated duration for this project is assumed to be Working Days of the consiruction contract. WORK ELEMENT 2—CONSTRUCTION ENGINEERING SUPPORT The Consultant will provide engineering support services during the construction period as requested by the City. The construction period is assumed to be five (5) months. 2.1 The Consultant will prepare for and attend the Preconstruction Conference. 2.2 The Consultant will prepare for and attend up to four (4) coordination meetings in the field with project stakeholders during the project to discuss key issues. 2.3 The Consultant will attend up to twelve (12) construction meetings as requested by the City. 2.4 The Consultant will conduct up to six (6) site visits to conduct special field observations as requested by the City. Consultant will provide City with a written field report regarding the visit, in the form of an email, within two working days of the site visit/field observation. Special in5pections will include inspection related to subgrade preparation, signal and illumination equipment, surface treatments, urban design features, landscape and plantings. 2.5 The Consultant will assist the City in the preparation of written and oral responses up to ten (10) Contractor questions and Contractor RFI's, and submit back to City for transmittal to the Contractor. 2.6 The Consultant will assist in the review up to fifteen (15) shop drawings, RAM's, and samples requested by the City for compliance with the information required by the contract documents. It is anticipated that the majority of the submittals will be reviewed by the City and the Consultant will assist with the review of materials related to signals and illumination, surface treatments, urban design features, landscape and plantings. 2.7 The Consultant wi11 issue up to three (3) design changes where required. Design revisions required due to error or omission shall be provided at no cost to the City. 2.8 The Consultant will attend the preliminary walkthrough and assist in developing the punch list. Work Etement 2 Assumptions: ❑ Project will be physically complete within 95 working days of Notice to Proceed. ❑ City wiil develop and maintain the ROM. ❑ City will be(ead and provide a Construction Contract Manager and full time Construction Observation. ❑ City will conduct shop drawing and materiai reviews for a majority of the materials necessary for construction. The Consultant will be responsible for conducting review of specific items requested by the City. ❑ City will develop Meeting Minutes for construction meetings. o Daily construction observation, construction management, and preparation of construction documentarion will be provided by the City. ❑ The Consuitant wili not direct the contractor either orally or in writien format except through the City. WORK ELEMENT 3—FINAL IRRIGATION DESIGN(100�,FINAL DESIGN DOCUMENTS� The Consultant shall update the 90%Irrigation Plans,Specifications, Quantities and Estimates for review and approval by the City. It is anticipated that a total of two(2)submittals will be required at the 100%and Final review milestones. City standard details will be supplemented with project specific details as required. Final contract documents will be signed by a licensed Landscape Architect in the State of Washington. 3.1 The consultant shall prepare 100% Irrigation Plans for review and approval by the City. The Final Irrigation Plans will include all comments received from the 100% review. The plans are estimated to have the following sheets: ❑ 1 Updated Irrigation Plan ❑ 1 Updated Irri�ation Details Total: 2 Updated Sheets 3.3 Consultant will update quantities and prepare construction cost estimates in support of the 100% and Final Contract Document submittals. 3.4 Consultant will update specifications based on 2016 WSDOT Standard Specifications 100%and Final Contract Document submittals. Work Element 3 Deliverpbles: ❑ Five (5J '�-size unbound and electronic version (PDF) of the 100%Irrigation Plans ❑ Five (5)%-size unbound and electronic version (PDF)of the Final lrrigation Plans ❑ One (1J hard copy, and two (2) electronic versions (PDF and Excel) of the 100%and Final Estimates ❑ Five (5J hard copies, and electronic versions (PDFJ of the 100% and Fina! lrrigation Specifications Work Element 3 Assumptions: ❑ The updated Irrigation Design will only encapsulate the improvements within the Main Avenue / 2"d Street intersection. Irrigation design for planters installed by the Lofts Development along Main Avenue will not be reflected in the design plans. WORK ELEMENT 4—STRUCTURAL AND GEOTECHNICAL SUPPORT DURING CONSTRUCTION 4.1 During construction, the City may elect to have specialty field inspections and/or shop drawing reviews that require the services of Geotechnical and Structural Engineers. The Consultant shall provide the services of GeoDesign and Civiltech respectively in support of this effort. For the purposes of this scope and fee, a $2,500 allotment has been provided for each of the before mentioned subconsultants. The scope of these services will be determined based on the unanticipated project needs or other considerations at the sole discretion of the City. This work may include items identified in the current task authorizations as well other items,which may include, but are not necessarily limited to the following: • Ribbon Cutting Ceremony • Surveying During Construction +� Services for Extended Working Days • As-Built Drawings These services will be authorized under a future contract supplement if necessary, At the time these services are required,the Consultant shall provide a detailed scope of work and an estimate of costs. The Consultant shall not proceed with the work until the City has authorized the work and issued a notice to proceed.
