SUMMARY OF PROPOSED CHANGE:
CO -1A Rebuild Side Sewers
per EA
The existing side sewers consist of approximately 3 -foot sections of codcrete or clay pipe, and have collapsed
when excavating across them to install the new storm system. This item Is for the work to rebuild the side
sewer connection across the new storm system, when needed. If a side sewer needs to be reconstructed back
to the sewer main, Bid Item 31 will be used instead of this item.
The new side sewer connection will span the storm system trench and may extend several feet beyond the
trench as needed to rebuild and reconnect the side sewer. The work includes all costs for labor, equipment,
materials (including PVC pipe, fittings, elbows, and couplings) needed to rebuild each side sewer.
R.L. Alla provided a cost of $600.00 per each for rebuilding and reconnecting each side sewer.
C0-1B Side Sewer Cleanout Riser
Estimated Cost for Rebuild Side Sewer: $600.00 /EA x 20 EA = $12,000.00

This item is to provide and install a new side sewer cieanout riser and cover where needed and when directed
by the City. Cleanout Risers will be installed behind the sidewalk or pavement. Cleanout rises shall be per
City Standard Detail 407 and 403.1 (details attached). The work includes all costs for labor, equipment,
materials (including PVC pipe, fittings, couplings, cast iron ring and cover) needed for each Cleanout Riser.
R.L. Alia provided a cost of $250.00 per each for Side Sewer Cleanout Riser.
Estimated Cost for Side Sewer Cleanout Riser: $250.00 /EA x 8 EA = $2,000.00
ESTMATED TOTAL CHANGE ORDER COST = $14,000.00
