ENGINEER: Coast & Harbor Engineering, Inc. DESCRIPTION: Unrestricted Work Hours & Allowable Equipment Operation Changes for Stop Work Orders REASON FOR CHANGE ORDER: Contract provides for unrestricted use of the in -water dredge work area during the construction work period which starts at 1200 PDT (noon) each working day. The City of Renton has been notified they need to accommodate Boeing 737 departures and arrivals (Runways 34116 respectively) during the construction work period of 1200 to 1400 PDT. This will require restrictions on equipment height be imposed for flight safety and compliance with the Construction Safety and Phasing Plan (CSPP) during these work hours if aircraft are scheduled for departure or arrival. The anticipated flight schedule will be provided by the City of Renton Project Manager to the Contractor daily to provide an estimate of aircraft activity for each working day. The Contractor will be allowed to work during the time period between 1200 to 1400 PDT but may be required to stop work and modify the position of their equipment. If the Contractor is notified that a flight departure or arrival is expected to occur during these work hours, the City will issue one of the following stop work orders: Stop Work Option 1: City will provide 30 minutes advance notice for the Contractor to stop work and then completely remove any over - height equipment from the work area and relocate the equipment to a location compliant with the CSPP for a time period of 30 minutes. Once relocated to a point where all equipment heights are compliant with CSPP elevation restrictions, the Contractor shall notify the City. The Contractor shall then wait for the City to notify them that it is safe to re- mobilize equipment into the work area. Once the Contractor has mobilized completely back into the work area, the Contractor shall notify the City when work has begun. 2. Stop Work Option 2: City will provide 15 minutes advance notice for the dredge to stop work, then swing and lower the crane boom and any other over- height equipment as much as possible (orientating to West). Construction equipment will remain in work area for this option. ADDITIONAL COSTS The stop work window will result in a cost impact to the Contractors work for each occurrence.
