HomeMy WebLinkAboutCO 2 CITY OF RENTON Public Works Department CONTRACT CHANGE ORDER AGREEMENT CONTRACT: Elliot Spawning Channel Repair Project (CAG-12-065) C.O.# 2 CONTRACTOR: TF Sahli Construction SUMMARY OF PROPOSED CHANGES: Item # CO2 Sod Filtering &Wattle along side slopes: WA State EMD,FEMA and the City of Renton requested from the contractor to place a strip of sod,wattles and wattle stakes for extra temporary erosion and sediment control BMWs not originally specified in the plans or specifications. This additional work and material further stabilizes the channel side slopes and assist in preventing additional silts from entering into the channel. This work was pre-approved by WA State EMD and is not part of the original specifications but does follow the original scope of work approved by EMD and FEMA. The additional work involves more labor, materials and time. An additional five working days are requested in order to place this additional work. The total lump sum cost of labor,materials, equipment and taxes is $9,001.10. After reviewing Change Order No. 2, we have found the proposal to be appropriate and necessary. Change order Vo. 2 does not constitute a change in the scope of work, but an addition to the current BMP's for erosion control described in the projects plans. Due to the commitment of federal and state funds for this project, any cost over-runs that are not part of this change order approval may not be eligible for reimbursement without prior state and/or federal review.
