A RES�LUTI�N �F THE CITY �F RENT�N, WASHINGT�N, AUTH�R12iNG THE
MAY�R AND CITY CLERK T� ENTER INT� AN INTERL�CAL AGREEMENT WITH
THE RENT�N H�U51NG AUTH�RITY REGARD�NG DEM�LITI�N �F CERTAIN
PR�PERTIES IN THE 5UN5ET REVITALIZATI�N AREA.
WHEREAS, the City and the Renton Housing Authority �"RHA"} are authorized, pursuant
to RCIN Chapter 3g.34, the Inter�ocal Cooperat�on Act, to enter into an interlocal go�ernment
cooperati�e agreement; and
WHEREAS, the City and RHA are engaged together in the re�italization of the area
generally described as the Sunset Re�ita�ization Area lying North and 1Nest of Northeast Sunset
Boule�ard; and
WHEREAS, RHA owns certain properties generally facing on Sunset Lane Northeast
which are boarded up but are being broken into and used bytransients; and
WHEREAS, RHA has been required to obtain permission of the Federal Department of
Housing and Urban De�elopment �"HUD"} for the disposition of the real estate and to ha�e the
housing structures demolished; and
WHEREAS, the HUD permission t� dem�lish the structures prior to disposition �f the
real estate was �btained based up�n the work being d�ne by the C�ty and with repayment to
the City far the costs of the demo�it�an to be made fram the sale af the real estate; and
WHEREAS, the City and RHA wish t� enter into an interlocal agreement in order to
dacument the terms under which demalitian will be effected;

�nter�acal agreement with RHA regarding the dema�itian af certain praperties in the Sunset
Re�italizat�an area awned by RHA and facing Sunset Lane Nartheast.
