this contract is heron modified to include the change Mailed below. Additional quantities for existing and new items shall
constitute the Clete and final settlement for all costs of labor, material, equipment, overhead, profit, permit fees, damages
(whether direct or indirect), and all other claims by the contractor as a result of this change.

Reason for Change:
The Contract Plans contain a bid item for Utility Trench — PSE. This work consists of excavating and
backfilling trench, installing PSE provided conduit and PSE provided vaults. The original conduit nun
began at approximate station S 17 +50 and terminated at S 22+00 and consisted of4 each 6 inch RGS
conduits behind the bridge abutment and 4 each 6 inch PVC conduits outside of the abutments. The
conduit trench was to be backfilled with sand.
Per the original plan the completed infrastructure would be used at a future date. During this Contract
PSE temporarily relocated the aerial distribution line on the east side of the project to facilitate con-
struction of the bridge. This line will be removed and the new line will be installed in the conduit runs
as shown on plan sheet UT-3 and UT-5.
The work from the west terminus at S 17 +50 to the east end of the RGS conduit at S 18+60 remains
unchanged. The work from that point east is revised. The east end of the conduit trench is revised
from S 22+00 to S 24+00 and the conduit grouping is revised frorn 4 each 6 inch PVC to to 5 each 6
inch PVC and 2 each 4 inch PVC. The sand backfill in the trench is deleted and replaced with fluid-
ized thermal backfiil.
The work from S 18+60 to S 24+00 is changed substantially from the work originally described.
Therefore a new bid item will be created to track and pay for the work east of the RGS conduit behind
the BNSF bridge abutment. A new bid item will also be created to credit back a portion of the work in
Bid Item 135 Utility Trench — PSE. The new bid item will be tracked and paid in accordance with
Section 1 -09.6, Force Account. This will allow for accurate tracking and record keeping of costs for
fiAm discussions between the City and PSE regarding allocation of costs
Description:
This change compensates Atkinson Construction for the revisions to the PSE trench. The work will be
compensated in accordance with section 1-09.6, Force Account. The new work shall be constructed
per the included revised PSE plans and details.
Add the Following New Items to Contract CAG 11 -133:
New Bid Item SA -147 "PSE Revised Utility Trench — FA" represents full compensation to
perform the work in accordance with Section 1 -09.6, Force Account
New Item SA -147: PSE Revised Trench - FA
