Change Order 3
July 10, 2012
Reason for Change:
This change is the result of the following revisions to the west side ATT and BNSF fiber optic reloca-
tion work:
The conduit run crosses over the King County Metro sewer line and a high pressure gas line at ap-
proximate BNSF station 1030+00. It was deterniined by ATT after notice to proceed that this run
must be installed in a steel casing when crossing over the two utilities. The addition of an 8 inch steel
casing was a change to the Contract.
Both the north and south tie in points of the plan fiber tie in locations were revised. BNSF provided
information during plan preparation that they had one 2 inch PVC conduit running along the west side
of the tracks that was empty. However it was determined during excavation the conduit contained a
live fiber. Therefore the south tie in point needed to be extended approximately 250 feet south of the
plan tie in location and the north tie in point needed to be shifted approximately 300 feet north of the
plan location. This change added 2 additional vaults including over-excavation and backfill, additional
conduit and trenching.
The phase I conduit runs across the new Stander Boulevard from BNSF station 1028 +28 to 1029 +54.
The ori ginal plan called out installing one 4 inch RGS Conduit in this location .for ATT. However
since the BNSF conduit contained a live fiber an additional 2 .inch RGS Conduit was added to ac-
commodate the live BNSF fiber
Add the Following New Items to Contract CAG 11 -133:
Description:
The agree lump sum amount for New Bid Item 141 shall be full and final compensation for all labor,
equipment and materials to complete the work including other direct and indirect costs. No further
compensation will be allowed.
