THE CONTRACT IS MODIFIED AS FOLLOWS:
Background
Per Special Provision 5-04.1,HMA Cl%",PG 70-22,shall be for all asphalt concrete roadway construction and reconstruction
per the Typical Roadway section details on the Plans.The Contractor requested a change to the HMA asphalt binder from PG
70-22 to PG 64-22,for all leveling lifts.After discussions with WSDOT and the City of Renton,it was determined that the use
of HMA CI'/:",PG 64-22 for leveling lifts would be appropriate to achieve maximum roadway performance and would assist
in constructability,as it is a more readily available binder.
Description of Change
Section 5-04.1.1 is revised to the following:
1. HMA Cl%", PG 70-22:For all asphalt overlay roadway construction and reconstruction per the Typical Roadway
section details on the Plans, Material Code#1.HMA CI'/:", PG 64-22:For all leveling lifts per the Typical Roadway
Section details on the Plans,Material Codes#2 and#5.
Description of Work
Contractor shall provide HMA Cl%", PG 64-22 for the 6.5"HMA base.-cnursp and the HMA prelevel,per the Typical Roadway
Section details on the Plans.
Material
Per the Contract Documents,approximately 10,000 Tons of HMA Class%", PG 64-22
Plans/Reference
Typical Sections,sheets 19 through 25,dated November 2011 and as revised,by KPG.
Timeline
