Community Point of Distribution Drill Offers Free Girl Scout Cookies
City’s Office Emergency Management to practice distribution of emergency supplies
RENTON, WA – The City of Renton Office of Emergency Management is partnering with the
Emergency Feeding Program to host a Community Point of Distribution (CPOD) drill on Saturday,
May 13th from 9 to 11 a.m. at 851 Houser Way N., Renton.
Renton community members are invited to drive through the CPOD and receive supplies including
bottled water, some emergency preparedness items, and a box of Girl Scout cookies. Items available
while supplies last.
A CPOD is a designated distribution point for emergency supplies during a disaster, when such
supplies might not be otherwise available. The Emergency Feeding Program may assist the City of
Renton with supply distribution.
The CPOD drill will allow staff from the Renton Emergency Management and the Emergency Feeding
Program to work with Community Emergency Response Team volunteers to practice the distribution
of emergency supplies.
